A Beneteau First 405; the sought-after classic designed by Jean Berret that put Beneteau on the world map with its impressive race record by, among other classic events, winning the Admiral’s Cup ocean race.
Tasman has been superbly maintained. She has been owned by one family for the past 25 years during which she has spent an average of only six weeks in the water each summer.
With the exception of in-mast furling, Tasman has been kept to the original specefications which enables an average passage speed of six to seven knots. Equipped with three double cabins, two bathrooms, additional water storage for extended cruising, standard electronics, dinghy with outboard, bimini and an Eberspacher forced-draft heating system, she is the ideal Mediterranean fast cruiser.

We stripped Tasman down to the gel coat during the winter of 2017 and re-painted, checked keel bolts etc and, happily, the hull is as sound as the day she went into the water. The previous year we replaced all interior upholstery and head linings.
We have weathered three force sevens in her and on only twice have we ever had a sea in the cockpit. She is a fast, extermely comfortable and ultimately seaworthy boat which fully lives up to her reputation as the finest model Beneteau ever built.
She has lived on the Greek island of Leros for the past eight years. More pictutres of her interior are available if required.
